Ed & I have been making jewellery since 1992,From the beginning we have been very fortunate to be
able to do this while we have lived in some of the most beautiful parts of
the World. From the spectacular natural beauty of Australia to the bare
rugged splendour of the West Coast of Ireland, to our present home in the
majestic Nore Valley of Thomastown Co. Kilkenny.
I have always
had an over active imagination and a fascination with nature and so I
suppose it was obvious that when I set about making jewellery that these
two elements would form the foundation of my influences. From the very
beginning themes such as "Mother Nature" and "lady Of The
Sea" have been the most popular pieces in a range of jewellery that
has developed with us over the years.
Another
influence on my design more relevant to my commissions work are those small things that make all people unique. When
a customer looks to commission for a friend start by asking for some
information on the person and often by the time the piece is finished I
feel I know the person though we have often never met. To have been part of
a special gift that will mark a moment in time gives me great satisfaction.
